| Best star sighting in a long time...Uma Thurman, looking as blond, lean, and beautiful as always, outside of Bergdorf Goodman. | | |
| Not a particularly exciting celebrity sighting, but I figured I would mention it anyways...David Schwimmer (aka Ross) on the Upper West Side wearing a baseball cap and looking surprisingly skinny! | | |
| Just got back from 10 days in San Francisco - working and spending time with Matthew. The weather was really nice (at least on the weekends), so we spent as much time outdoors as possible...walking around the Marina and Cow Hollow shopping areas, exploring the Farmers Market at the Ferry Buildling, driving to Sausilto and Tiburon, and visiting the Monterey Aquarium. The best meal of my trip was at The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in SF. I highly recommend it for anyone in search of a great meal or a special occasion restaurant. Matthew and I were there for 9 courses and 4 hours, and it was great! We also got to hang out with Su & Arnold and visit our old jaunts, A&J's and Verde. Yum! :) And I even drove back to Stanford to grab a BBQ Chicken Noodle Salad at the Thai Cafe in the Psych Building...talk about a great use of $5! It was even more delicious than I remembered it to be. he he. | | |
| Some Oscar Observations:
1. YAY for Reese Witherspoon! I am so happy that she won the Oscar! She's been one of my favorites for a long time (she is just so cute and endearing), and it was great to see her win for one of my favorite movies this year. Plus, she looked gorgeous in her long, beaded gown (although I can't seem to find out who the designer is).
2. It was a tight race between Crash and Brokeback Mountain...and I would have been happy with either movie winning Best Picture...so congrats to Crash! I think both films were very thoughtful and meaningful. And it was nice to see how absolutely thrilled the cast of Crash was when the movie won.
3. The red carpet was not as exciting as I hoped it would be. I thought there were a few standouts: Reese, Jennifer Aniston, Felicity Huffman, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Williams (she looks like a doll!). Charlize Theron - who usually looks gorgeous - picked a gown that was a little too out there for my taste with that huge bow on the shoulder. And overall, there were too much nude/skin color hues...I was hoping for more color!
4. I think Jessica Alba may have the Nicole Ritchie syndrome. She is usually perfect-looking, but she looked so skinny tonight! It was actually a little alarming! | | |
